#Yeswecode

#YesWeCode accelerates access to training in high-demand technical and non-technical skills to prepare untapped talent to enter the tech-fueled economy. #YesWeCode is building a diverse pipeline of ‘homegrown’ tech talent to meet demand and boost local economies.

After the passing of the legendary Prince Rogers Nelson, a lot of his philanthropic work came to light, since as a Jehovah’s witness he was not able to speak about his charitable contributions. One of his charitable initiatives was #YesWeCode.  Once learning about this initiative I decided to design something that celebrated Prince as well as brought awareness to this program. I designed an information booklet about #YesWeCode that gives hint to Prince’s influence. The invite itself plays up some of the cliché tech
visual language, but through a mysterious flare reminiscent of the Purple one himself, as the Matrix like code on the casing of the invite could also double as “Purple Rain”.

The invite and booklet is in-cased in specially design box that also comes with a flash drive that includes one basic coding lesson.  I also created an event website where people could rsvp for the event that includes the same visual language present in the invite and booklet.
