In the spring of 2017 Graphic Design Luba Lukova visited SCAD and facilitated a poster design workshop. The topic of the poster design was that of the problem of student loan debt in the U.S., something that I was extremely aware of. The one day workshop didn’t leave much time to work and develop the design all the way to fruition, so following the workshop I worked to expand it to a series. 

 

The series focuses on overwhelming facts regarding student loan. The visual language is very type driven, because these huge debt numbers are so overwhelming. I expanded these static images to motion to live on social media platforms, because that is where activism is very present.
